Jacket Potatoes

dsc00242

I was in Covent Garden the other day and had to take a picture of this place after having one of their delicious jacket potatoes. 🙂

I remember eating jacket potatoes here since as long as I can remember, you always see people sitting on the step across from it pigging out. And pigeons gathered around ready to pounce on any scraps you happen to drop. I was sitting down trying not to be scared of the irreguraly large bird eyeing me and got taken over by this warm feeling, its nice to know that some things in life don’t change even if its something as small as this potatoe stall.

If you are there I recommend the baked beans and cheese. 🙂

Potty Food

potnoodle

Once upon a time I used to make fun of the college students that lived off Pot Noodles. I used to think “Yech!!!”, of course, those were the days when I was an undergraduate and had catered accommodations.

Now as a postgraduate student (you would think I would have learned to cook by now) I eat around 5 of these things a week. I actually call them food to the amusement of a lot of my friends here (they can cook).

I will admit at first I was ashamed, but now I have gotten over it and am proud to say I EAT POT NOODLES!!! (also thank God that my postgraduate degree is only one year and is nearly over)

Where Oh Where?

So after a comment Fayoora left on my milkshake post about brownie milkshakes I started craving brownies. This inevitably led me to start craving all things related to brownies which includes Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food Ice Cream. It is officially my favorite ice cream flavor.

Which leads me to my question: Where oh where can I get Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream?

I never seem to be able to find it anywhere I look. Never in jam3iyas and they don’t have it at Sultan Center (at least not last I checked).

I am in need of assistance, so if anyone knows where it can be found let me know. I am craving it like crazy.

I would like to conclude this with a shout out to Fayoora for mentioning brownies and kick starting my cravings when I am trying to cut down after Ramadan and Eid! Argh!
