Crocodile Sneakers

lacoste-sneakers

I must say I had given up on Lacoste after they sold out and cheapened their brand by selling it in every single outlet and location possible. But they just released these limited edition sneakers which are actually pretty cool. So thumbs up Lacoste, there may be hope for you yet 😉

Patek Philippe

I really like their advertising campaign.

Their slogan is “You never actually own a patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.”

These are some of their old advertisements.

They now have a new updated version of the campaign, unfortunately I can’t find a decent copy online to upload, but its in lots of magazines. They have chosen real pairs of parents and children for the ads, really smart idea.

Makes me want to buy one for the son I don’t even have yet, I’m a sucker for good advertising.

Extra Genius

wrigleys_extra_bottle_peppermint_60_piece3

I have to say Wrigley’s are genius’s, this is one of my favorite products out there today (god I need a life). Finally someone in Chewing Gum Central realized “Hey, people seem to go through our ten packs pretty quickly, how about we make bigger packs!”.

I am one of those people that chews gum all the time, so I generally through a pack in two days max, one if people starting asking me for gum. So having a pack of 60 pieces on my desk is just so much more convenient.

Anyways, just had to share my weird excitement about the 60 pack of gum :p

VIP Cinescape

Yesterday I went with some friends to watch “Hairspray” at Avenues. When I went online to book the tickets it said that it was showing in the VIP cinema which is great because I really wanted to check it out.

I have to say that I was not disappointed. It seats around 22 I think, they have really nice big leather seats giving you a lot of space to sit comfortably ( I even tiraba3t at one point in my seat, 7adi halaga I know :p). The seats also recline and have leg rests which you can move up and down as you please.

There is a table between each seat where you can put your food and cup holders for your drink. Not only that but there is a guy who you can send to get you stuff if you suddenly feel hungry or thirsty throughout the movie.

I had a really great time! 🙂

My only criticisms would be that the place was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing cold and the screen could be bigger. I would not recommend it for action movies or movies with lots of special effects because I don’t think you would really get the movie theater experience.

Arabic Superheroes

ajaaj_image2.jpg

I saw an advertisement for this on Dubai One and thought it was interesting. I went and checked the website and was pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a tacky childlike website but found a really cool website where you can find out lots of information and download the comic itself. A lot of the time when they try to make Arabic cartoons/comics/books they look really bad and I always feel disappointed because if other people can get it right why cant we? But this one actually looks good, I have not had the chance to actually read it yet because I am at work, but I intend to once I get home. The concept of it is nice, it takes place in Dubai in 2020 AD, so its futuristic and yet the hero is from the past so its still culturally relevant.

Anyways I just thought it was interesting and that it should be encouraged 🙂

Badass Batteries

These look so kewl! I’m such a sucker for a gimmick! You think as someone who studied marketing in Uni I wouldn’t fall for this stuff, but I still do 🙂
