Underground Oops

So I was in Paddington Underground station going down the stairs to the train, when I see this ad in the stairwell. Basically they are screens with electronic ads like the screens you have in marina mall except these are bigger.

What surprised me though was the Windows Error message smackdab in the middle of the advertisement. I don’t know who this situation is worse for, the company advertising its services, the company that maintains the ads on these screens, or Microsoft.

As a Mac lover myself, I say when in doubt, blame Microsoft :p

SOLD OUT!!!!

 

So Monday I get a message from 3baid telling me that the K850i which I’ve been waiting for forever is out in Kuwait and that I can get it in Hawalli for 250 KD, he referred me to My K Blog. At this point I thought it was too expensive and so I didn’t even bother. Then yesterday he messages me at around 8pm telling me that they have it at Al Barrak for 180 KD, I got there at 9:15pm and they were sold out!

I reserved one for when they get their next shipment next week. I can’t believe they were sold out so fast!

Zainwashed!!!

In case you have been living under a rock for the past few weeks you may have seen one or two million of these signs around Kuwait. They are everywhere! Its like they realized that nobody would like the idea so they decided to just bombard you with it until it grows on you (like a fungus). I was in Hawalli yesterday and MTC had bought all the phone shops that sell MTC lines new signs. These new signs were all standardized with the light teal background and the Zain logo, the name of the store is written on them (all the signs used the same font, thats how I knew MTC did it, coz lets face it, those shops in Hawalli would never be able to all stick to one font).

Whats even funnier is that my dad was out of the country for a couple of months and when I told him that MTC changed their name to Zain he said “ma fahamt, 7athi nikta yideeda?”. He actually thought I was kidding, so then I had to explain the whole fiasco to him.

The worst part is, that I actually think I am growing used to it, the more I see the logo and name the less it bothers me. THEY ARE GETTING INTO MY HEAD!!!!
